Recoil Home

In Recoil Home you play as a hand gun trying to traverse a cave to the surface. Use your bullets destroy platforms, and the recoil to propel yourself. Just click to shoot, and R to restart from the beginning.

Something that ive always had trouble with making video games, is actually finishing them. So I decided to join a game jam to finish my first project, from start to release. Unfortunately mid way through the game jam I got absolutely slammed with school work, and with school coming first I know all im gonna think about is the game. So Im releasing it earlier than intended. It doesn't include all of the features I wanted it to, but it is playable till the intended finish.

Despite me not being able to polish it the way I wanted, and include a proper finish and story, im still proud of the product and feel like I made something fun and frustrating at the same time. I do intend on revisiting the game once I have the time.

Some known bugs include being able to clip through the map very easily by abusing the physics. This can be easily done, but rarely happens by accident. Another bug is being able to shoot while touching walls. This happens because of the way I handled whether the player could shoot or not. This also happens to be my first project in godot(and I learned a lot!!!). I did have a fix in mind but with a lack of time I couldn't implement it. So please dont do it :)

Just a heads up their is no proper end. Once there is no where to progress then you have beat the game. But hey! its about the journey right
